TheLegalDepartment provides core legal support to all Dolby functions, runs several IP-centric businesses, and leads government relations.
Summary
The successful candidate will be a self-starter and eager learner who is responsible for supporting Dolby's technology licensing program, product development, and technology services.
The position interacts extensively with senior management and requires mature judgment and the ability to work effectively as a contributing member of the team with minimal direction.
This position is based in Dolby's office in Dublin, Ireland.
Responsibilities
Support the standard technology licensing program of Dolby technologies and create licensing programs for new initiatives, which will include negotiating standard agreements and ability to escalate issues to the business or legal leadership as necessary
Advise the company on the acquisition, development, and commercialization of third-party technologies and related intellectual property matters
Counsel senior management in connection with complex transactional matters associated with licensing and collaboration agreements, intellectual property licensing strategies and protection of intellectual property rights
Negotiate and draft complex technology
