Summary Description: Bio Marin Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) teamis seeking a highly motivated Senior Financial Analyst to join their team.
This position will be a key member of a cross-functional, multi-national team supporting Bio Marin's Enzyme Therapies Business Unit, with an emphasis on the Commercial successful candidate will gain significant exposure to business operations, strategic decision-making processes and key Executive Leadership, contributing to the development and execution of business strategies.
Responsibilities: The FP&A team is responsible for the consolidation, reporting, and analysis of the company's budget and forecasts for both Revenue and Operating Expenses (Op Ex).
The Senior Financial Analyst will lead various aspects of FP&A, including: Budget and Forecast Process: Manage the annual budget, forecasting and long-range planning processes, including the development of templates, timelines, and communications; consolidation of business inputs and detailed analysis of the combined budget.
Stakeholder Management: Finance business partner to cost centres/budget owners, supporting key investment decisions and spend analysis; prepare and present (as necessary) management updates for Executive team.
Key Reports and Financial Packages: Prepare and present comprehensive financial packages for senior management, highlighting key insights and trends.
Monthly Financial Reporting: Preparation of monthly financial reports, including variance analysis to assess performance against budget.
Process Improvement: Drive ongoing process improvement and automation projects within the finance team to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Cross Functional Liaison on P&Lwith Technical Operations (TOPS) and Worldwide R&D (WWRD) on Op Ex Ad Hoc Reporting and Analysis: Conduct detailed analyses and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.
Qualifications & Experience: Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; supported by a professional accountancy qualification (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CFA), ideally.
Minimum 2 years' PQE, preferably in Pharmaceutical/Medtech/Biotech Experience: Proven experience in financial analysis, reporting, and budgeting, preferably in a corporate/commercial finance environment.
Required Skills: Analysis: Strong analytical skills, proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and familiarity with financial software and modelling techniques.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information clearly.
