As a Social Care Worker, you will be involved in supporting the individuals we support to achieve their personal outcomes, to build on their potential and to develop positive roles within their home and in the community.

Please note that this list is non-exhaustive and subject to eligibility/conditions.Key Responsibilities & requirements:To support the Person In Charge with all aspects of the effective running of the residential service.To facilitate and implement a person-centered approach for the individuals we support appropriate to their wishes and goalsTo promote and protect the rights of the individuals in a manner that respects their dignity, their right to make choices and their privacyTo actively seek new interests and opportunities for the individuals we support to develop meaningful roles in their communitiesTo ensure the overall wellbeing of the individuals we support in all areas of their lives including health and personal careTo assist in the teaching of life skills in cooking, budgeting, cleaning & building confidenceTo drive the company vehicleHave a knowledge of the HIQA regulations and standardsExperience of dealing with behaviours that challengeExperience, knowledge and understanding of behavioural support plansMAPA experience or equivalentUnderstanding and experience of therapeutic interventionsExperience of teaching skills in cooking, budgeting, cleaning & building confidence skillsExperience in alternative communicationsExcellent organisation and communication skillsExperience of creative problem-solving techniquesEnthusiasm, energy and creativityHave the ability to deal with confidential information in a discreet and responsible mannerExcellent IT and report writing skillsBe flexible to work a variety of rostered shifts over a seven-day work periodQualification/Requirements:Hold a degree in Social Care or Foreign Equivalent (validated by QQI)Have at least six months post qualification experience of working with adults with an intellectual disability.Must hold a full clean driving licence and be willing to drive company vehicleRequired Skills and Attributes:ConfidentialityAccountabilityResilience and empathyExcellent Interpersonal and communication skillsFlexibility in work duties and working hoursRespect the dignity and privacy of service the people we supportStrong planning and organisational skillsTo Apply: Email your CV and cover letter referencing the Job Ref No.Short listing of candidates will applyA panel may be formed from this campaign from which further vacancies which may arise will be filled.St.
