Title and Summary
Manager, Data Quality
The Data Quality team within the Data Quality & Sources team in the AI and Data Office is responsible for developing and driving Mastercard's data quality program.
This team ensures that Mastercard governs the data and tooling that powers products and services across Mastercard.
We innovate to increase the value of Mastercard's data assets, protect the integrity of the Mastercard network, and adapt to changes in the ecosystem, enabling new forms of payment, new players, and expanding data collection and use for new business lines.
The Enterprise Data Quality & Sources team ensures data is of the highest quality and fit for purpose to support business and analytic needs.
The team identifies and prioritizes opportunities for data quality improvements, develops strategic mitigation plans, and coordinates remediation activities with technical teams and product owners.
It also works on creating curated merchant data to enhance data quality and availability.
Role
As a Manager, Data Quality, you will:
Manage a team of data stewards to ensure Mastercard data quality for products and services
Assist less experienced team members with complex data quality issues
Identify and prioritize new data assets to improve data types, coverage, and quality
Manage support and development of data quality dashboards
Evaluate and advocate for AI and emerging technologies to improve merchant data
Provide expertise on data to support product requirements and onboarding
Participate in designing future data quality platforms and processes
Prioritize resources to support strategic initiatives
Engage with technical and business partners, including leadership, to resolve issues
All About You
People management experience; knowledge of B2B and B2C data governance preferred
Passion for research and understanding complex merchant relationships
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Experience supporting technology projects
Understanding of Mastercard platforms and processes
Knowledge of emerging technologies (cloud, MDM tools, AI, Big Data)
Analytic skills with SQL, Hadoop/Spark, BI tools
Self-motivated with problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment
Corporate Security Responsibility
All activities involving access to Mastercard assets, information, and networks carry inherent risks.
