Job Title: General Operative - Yard & Store Staff Location: Dundalk Job Type: Full-time Rate of Pay: €13.50 per hour Reports To: Store Manager & Assistant Store Manager Overview: We are seeking a General Operative - Yard & Store Staff member to join our team in Dundalk.
This role involves supporting the day-to-day running of our yard and store-handling stock, assisting customers, and working alongside our delivery drivers.
You'll also work with power tools and warehouse equipment, including forklifts.
If you enjoy physical, hands-on work and thrive in a busy environment, this is an excellent opportunity to build your skills and be part of a reliable, hard-working team.
Key Responsibilities: Prepare and complete orders for delivery or collection (loading, wrapping, labelling).
Receive and store stock items in an organised and timely manner.
Maintain a safe, clean and well-structured working area.
Support drivers with collections and offloading deliveries.
Operate power tools and warehouse machinery (forklift licence required).
Report discrepancies and follow health & safety procedures.
Communicate effectively with supervisors and co-workers.
Requirements: Previous warehouse or yard experience is beneficial.
Must hold a valid forklift licence.
Ability to lift and move heavy items safely.
Strong organisational and time management skills.
Comfortable using warehouse systems and databases (training provided).
Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and work in a team.
