This is an exciting opportunity to support the design and delivery of healthcare solutions on a national scale under Vhi's new integrated healthcare strategy.
The Vhi integrated healthcare strategy sets out how we plan to deliver a personal and digital experience through our leading insurance proposition that provides access to a connected healthcare system, supporting our members to live longer, stronger, healthier lives.
The programme manager will be responsible for planning, executing and tracking strategic change programmes that will lead to the delivery of healthcare solutions for Vhi members.
Critical to the success of the role is the programme manager excelling at programme and project planning, risk management, resource planning and stakeholder management.
The programme manager will work closely with a broad range of internal and external clinical, operational and business leaders to achieve programme goals and objectives Benefits: Hybrid working opportunities Health Insurance Performance related pay Company pension And many more Role Purpose Programme Planning & Management Be a central player in moving forward the Group Healthcare Office agenda by shaping and designing the department's change programme to deliver on key strategic healthcare initiatives and solutions Define, implement and monitor programme plans, resource requirements and associated budgets with support from Finance Business Partners Report against programme plans, reporting progress to relevant working groups, steering committees and boards Manage risks and issues across the programme and help to mitigate or escalate to relevant decisions makers to ensure programme remains on track Ensure effective governance for programmes Produce superior quality, Board-ready documents, reports, business cases and presentations Set clear performance measures and KPIs for programmes Define benefits and track benefits realisation in line with agreed programmatic methodologies Represent the Group Healthcare Office within Vhi and with external stakeholders Transition programmatic-based planning and reporting processes into business as usual as appropriate Lead, direct and support the various programmes of work to effectively implement changes and ensure that appropriate change management principles are adhered to Stakeholder Engagement Build strong relationships across the organisation to enable delivery of key goals Utilise a clear communication and stakeholder engagement framework to ensure buy-in and engagement to the business plan Espouse the Vhi culture, values and behaviours and be a champion for these across the organisation Work with people across the organisation to enable them to effectively contribute to the plan and to deliver on its objectives Innovation Identify and implement innovative approaches to achieve outcomes aligned with strategic objectives Increase agility when adapting to other initiatives or changes within the organisation Financial Sustainability Integrate the importance of financial sustainability and commercial awareness into the programme delivery process Education & Experience Relevant third level qualification in business or healthcare Project management qualification and/or professional accreditation Minumum 5 years working in a project or programme manager role working on large-scale and complex strategic change programmes preferably in a healthcare environment Broad knowledge of project management methodologies Strong knowledge and budgeting and resource allocation procedures Demonstrated passion for change Skills and Abilities Technical The ideal candidate is a critical thinker, strategically minded with a project or programme management background and a proven ability to design and deliver programmes Experience influencing and building internal and external stakeholder relationships Experience working on large-scale and complex change initiatives preferably in a healthcare environment Interpersonal Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams Exceptional written, verbal and oral communication skills Proven team player with the ability to adapt to support the needs of a team Excellent influencing skills Good presentation skills and confidence to present to senior leaders Demonstrated alignment to the Vhi values Vhi is an equal opportunities employer.
