
Purchasing & Sourcing Specialist

Vickerstock are working in partnership with a growing and innovative engineering business on the appointment of a Procurement & Sourcing Specialist on a full-time permanent basis.
As the Procurement & Sourcing Specialist, you will be responsible for international sourcing of components from electrical, mechanical, and machinery part suppliers.
You will develop a strong core supplier base, sourcing from all parts of the world.
This is a vital area of the business, so you will need to have a background in a strategic procurement role
Benefits include: Company pension Life insurance Private medical insurance In your new role: Source and procure mechanical, electrical, and industrial components, tools, machinery, and services to support engineering and maintenance projects.
Review technical specifications and work with engineering teams to ensure accurate material selection and ordering.
Raise and track purchase orders, monitor lead times, and ensure on-time delivery to project sites.
Build and maintain strong supplier relationships in the UK and US; assess supplier capabilities and manage procurement contracts.
Process purchase orders and approve supplier invoices with correct financial coding for management reporting.
Source, renew, and administer insurance policies for UK and US operations, ensuring adequate coverage and regulatory compliance.
Support the SHEQ Manager in maintaining ISO-compliant Integrated Management Systems (IMS).
Coordinate and support ISO audits, liaising with internal teams and external auditors to ensure compliance and readiness.
Manage equipment hire for projects, ensuring early planning to prevent delays.
Handle customs declarations, import processes, and commodity codes for US operations.
Support the Business Development team with bid and tender preparation, including obtaining equipment hire quotations.
