Role purpose
To provide effective management and leadership for EU repair depot involving multiple technical and administrative disciplines.
The Site Lead is responsible for overseeing all operations at the service depot, including the setup and fit-out of the new facility.
This role ensures timely responses, consistent coverage, and the production of accurate work.
Responsibilities
Supervise work schedules to ensure coverage of main work streams, ensure administrative staff document procedures, and implement cross-training for backup support.
Act as the onsite Radiation Protection Supervisor (RPS), regularly checking equipment and maintaining required records.
Maintain component tracing software to track repeat returns and the cycles of repaired parts, producing data summaries as needed, and communicate work schedules to technicians to ensure output and prioritise repairs.
Keep records of employee training and certifications, ensure effective technical practices for high-quality repairs, and maintain and update onsite test fixtures for quality control.
Supervise all onsite staff.
Ensure deliverables meet SLAs and KPIs for the repair depot and report monthly KPIs; organise resources and manage internal multidisciplinary teams; schedule work coverage based on priority.
Monitor administrative procedures for cross-training and maintain training/certification records; track repeat returns and repair cycles; provide summaries as requested.
Act as onsite Radiation Protection Supervisor and onsite Safety Supervisor, ensuring safety of test units/fixtures and proper labeling; enforce safety protocols.
Prepare detailed Monthly Management Reviews and present to senior management.
Develop and use control methods and reporting for forecasting, and identify, monitor and resolve variances in scope, cost, time and quality.
Ensure compliance with Company policies for Ethics, Health, Environment and Safety.
Capture COPQ information and work with Ops and P&T to improve reliability of repaired parts; act as point of escalation for all parts repair issues/problems; lead recruitment, interviewing, selection, hiring, and salary negotiation.
Coach, develop, retain, review and take corrective action for employees; maintain budget (P&L) responsibility for the repair depot; ensure spare part inventory levels are maintained and accurate; ensure up-to-date certification (e.g., forklift driver).
Qualifications & attributes
Proven experience leading operations in a technical service or repair environment.
Strong understanding of safety regulations (including high-voltage and rotating assemblies), quality systems, and repair traceability.
Excellent people leadership skills, able to motivate, coach, and build effective teams.
Strong analytical and organisational skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
Comfortable working independently with budget management and strategic responsibilities.
Familiarity with MS Office Suite, service tracking systems, and technical documentation processes.
Ability to influence, collaborate, and communicate effectively at all levels, from technicians to senior global leaders.
Radiation Protection Supervisor (RPS) experience (or willingness to be certified).
Familiarity with test fixture setup and service diagnostics.
Experience managing repair SLAs, KPIs, and COPQ (Cost of Poor Quality) initiatives.
Previous experience in service depot start-up or scale-up is a strong advantage.
