Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda, is a 500-bed, Model 3 Acute General and Maternity hospital located in the North East of Ireland.
It provides acute and specialist hospital services to populations in North Dublin, Meath, Louth, Cavan, and Monaghan.
The hospital offers services including Critical Care, Orthopaedic Trauma, Surgery, Medicine (various specialties), Acute Stroke Unit, Cardiology, Gynaecology, Obstetrics, and Paediatrics.
As an academic teaching hospital affiliated with the Royal College of Surgeons Ireland (RCSI), the hospital emphasizes standards of care, education, clinical research, and innovation.

Position Available
Consultant General Surgeon s.i. Gastrointestinal surgery
(Ref No: GENS3792)
This appointment is within the HSE Dublin and North East Region under the Public Only Consultants' Contract 2023.
The initial commitments are:
Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda: 25.5 hours/week
Louth County Hospital: 8 hours/week
Beaumont Hospital: 3.5 hours/week
Applicants must, by the closing date, have:
Registration in the Specialist Division of the Medical Council of Ireland in the surgery specialty
At least two years of certified postgraduate training in gastrointestinal surgery
