Our client is a well-established Irish-owned group with diverse business interests spanning Property Management, Facilities Management, Construction, and Property Investment. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join their Galway-based team. Reporting directly to the Finance Director, this is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the day-to-day finance function of the group's property management business. The Finance Manager will take ownership of the finance function, ensuring efficient financial operations, timely reporting, statutory compliance, and the provision of accurate financial information to support business decision-making. The successful candidate will manage a team of four finance professionals and play a critical role in ensuring strong financial controls, compliance, and accurate reporting across the business. Key Responsibilities
Manage the day-to-day finance function for the property management division Lead, mentor and develop a team of four accounts staff Oversee all Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable activities Drive effective credit control and cash flow management processes Prepare weekly management reports and cash flow forecasts Prepare monthly management accounts and supporting financial analysis Assist with the preparation of annual statutory accounts and audit requirements Ensure compliance with all CRO filing requirements and annual returns Manage VAT, PAYE and other statutory returns Maintain and improve financial controls and accounting procedures Perform balance sheet reconciliations and month-end close activities Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors and other professional service providers Assist the Finance Director with strategic projects and process improvement initiatives Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements Provide financial support and analysis to operational management teams as required Candidate Requirements Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CPA) Minimum 5 years' post-qualification experience in a finance or accounting role Previous experience managing a finance team Strong management accounting and financial reporting experience Experience dealing with CRO compliance and statutory filing requirements Strong knowledge of Irish taxation and regulatory requirements Advanced Excel and financial systems experience Excellent organisational and communication skills Ability to prioritise multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment Experience within property, construction, facilities management or a related industry would be advantageous An attractive remuneration package will be offered to the successful candidate.
