Requirements

We are looking for a Test Lead who is hands-on, proactive, and can ensure that our cloud application, mobile apps, and APIs maintain the highest standards of quality.

The Role

Lead QA Efforts:

    • Manage and mentor a team of 2 QA engineers, providing guidance, support, and setting testing strategies and goals.
    • Own the entire QA process, from planning to execution, for our cloud application, mobile apps, and APIs.

Hands-On Testing:

    • Perform manual and automated testing for both web and mobile applications.
    • Design and execute test cases for functional, regression, performance, and API testing.
    • Be directly involved in API testing using tools such as Postman or equivalent.

Automation & Continuous Improvement:

    • Develop and maintain automated test scripts, ensuring that test automation is integrated into the development lifecycle.
    • Continuously improve testing frameworks, processes, and tools to increase test coverage and effectiveness.

Collaboration & Communication:

    • Collaborate with the product, development, and DevOps teams to ensure seamless release cycles.
    • Act as a key advocate for quality, helping to define quality metrics and ensure clear communication across teams.

Test Reporting:

    • Own test reporting and metrics, ensuring comprehensive reporting on test coverage, bugs, and product stability.
    • Ensure that bugs are logged and tracked efficiently, following through until issues are resolved.

Qualifications

Experience:

    • 5+ years of experience in software testing, with at least 2 years of leading or managing a QA team.
    • Strong background in testing cloud applications, mobile apps, and APIs.
    • Experience with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium) and API testing frameworks (e.g., Postman, REST Assured).

Technical Skills:

    • Proficiency in manual testing and test automation.
    • Strong understanding of API testing and cloud application testing methodologies.
    • Experience working in Agile development environments.
    • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests into the build process.

Soft Skills:

    • Excellent leadership skills with a hands-on approach.
    • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work cross-functionally with development and product teams.
    • Problem-solving mindset and attention to detail.
