The Merrion, one of Dublin's finest luxury hotel and a Leading Hotel of the World is recruiting for a Senior Restaurant Waiter. The Merrion is now certified as a Great Place to Work. This is an exciting role, working in the beautiful Garden Room with a professional, vibrant and friendly team. You can be assured of a warm welcome


Overseeing a group of waiting persons in your section, the role of the Senior Restaurant Waiter includes:

  • Maintaining an efficient communication with the management and the team.
  • Carrying out training for new team members.
  • Recognising VIP and regular guests.
  • Taking and handling reservations and phone calls as per Merrion policy.
  • Maintaining a positive attitude to guide the team through service.

 

Hours of work can be up to 39 per week. Shift work and weekend work is required.

The successful candidate will be a service driven individual, who loves to look after others. They will be professional and communicate courteously and effectively with guests and colleagues alike. A strong working knowledge of spoken and written English is required.
