The Role:

This is a 15-month fixed term contract role based in Cork, Ireland (Hybrid). We are looking for a highly capable Payroll Analyst to manage our payroll system. In this role, your duties will include ensuring accurate salary payments, liaising with external service providers, and preparation of payroll journals.

To ensure success as a Payroll Analyst, you should demonstrate knowledge of applicable tax laws and ideally have experience in a similar role. A first-class Payroll Analyst will be detail-oriented and someone who can accurately and timely process salaries.

Essential Functions:

Working with Employee Services team on ensuring any changes during the month are reflected in payroll files. Updating payroll systems, including employment hires and terminations. Generating payroll reports for Managers to review. Issuing paychecks in a timely manner. Preparing payroll and tax reports in line with statutory and local requirements. Preparing ledger entries with earnings and deductions. Attending to payroll inquiries from employees. Compliance with internal controls. Participation in ad-hoc projects.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Detail-oriented with a very high level of accuracy. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Proficiency in Payroll Software, such as Sage. Ability to work independently and communicate with all levels of the organization and outside agencies.

Minimum Education and Work Experience Required:

A minimum of two years' experience as a Payroll Analyst, or in a similar role. Extensive experience in preparing ledger entries and processing payments. In-depth knowledge of applicable tax laws. Experience in preparing payroll and tax reports, as well as answering payroll inquiries.
