Our unique platform reduces required site visits or truck rolls, speeds-up trouble resolution, and identifies wide-area network issues before they become a problem.

SUMMARY

NUSO has an opening for a full time System Engineer. In this role you will be responsible for maintenance and implementation of new systems for variety of voice applications. Asses security risks. Design and implement upgrade paths for existing platforms. Evaluation of existing platforms and it upgrade schedule.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Duties include using a wide range of network equipment and technology.

  • Installs, tests, and maintains enterprise/carrier grade platforms.
  • Proficiency in the full range of activities, including interpreting drawings and completing network modifications and maintenance.
  • Responds to emergency events of a system failure.
  • Uses a personal computer to make software changes and patches.
  • Monitors the system alerts and provide solution.
  • Proactively assess overall system health.
  • Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.
  • Reports to Department head, Voice platforms.
  • Be available in case of emergency after hours issues.
  • Regularly monitor e-mail during and after business hours.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Training

  • Bachelor's degree and/or its equivalent and 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area preferred.
  • Strong proven knowledge of:
    • Microsoft Server OS platforms
    • MS SQL deployment design
    • Microsoft Active Directory and Group Policy
    • Microsoft Domain Controller
    • Cloud computing (VmWare, KVM)
    • Networking (LAN, WAN, routing)

Experience

  • 4-6 years of technical experience in the enterprise grade network administration.
