About the Role

Reporting to the Project Manager and Lead Engineer, the Mechanical Engineering Graduate will work on one of our key projects and assist in carrying the project through to successful completion.

 

Key duties of the role include, but are not restricted to:

 

Design and Drafting:

  • Create detailed 3D models and 2D drawings using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD) under the guidance of senior engineers.
  • Assist in the development of design concepts for mechanical components and systems.


Problem-solving:

  • Analyse and troubleshoot engineering issues, proposing, and implementing solutions under the guidance of more experienced team members.
  • Learn and apply problem-solving methodologies to address technical challenges.


Quality Assurance:

  • Contribute to quality control processes by participating in design reviews and inspections.
  • Assist in the identification and resolution of issues related to design and manufacturing.


Compliance and Standards:

  • Ensure that engineering designs comply with relevant industry codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers to address compliance-related considerations.


Client Interaction:

  • Support communication with clients by providing updates on project progress and addressing client inquiries under the guidance of senior team members.
  • Develop effective communication skills to interact with clients professionally.

 

Health and Safety:

  • Adhere to health and safety guidelines in the workplace and contribute to creating a safe engineering environment.


Project Coordination:

  • Assist in coordinating project activities, ensuring tasks are completed within the established timelines.
  • Learn project management skills and contribute to project planning.

 

About You

The ideal candidate will be organised and efficient, pay strong attention to detail and be a good communicator.

 

You will:

  • Possess a relevant 3rd level qualification, at level 8 or above.
  • Have a good level of knowledge of Revit & BIM software systems.
  • Have an interest in working within the Construction industry.
  • Be comfortable in your use of Microsoft Office, with the ability to generate detailed monthly reports.
  • Be conscientious, have excellent attention to detail and an ability to multitask.
  • Have a positive attitude with a passion to learn & succeed, an energetic approach and an ability to take accountability.
  • The ability to contribute comfortably as part of a team.
