This is a full-time position, Day time hours mainly Monday - Friday. Will not suit students & experience in hospitality or similiar role is desired.


 

Main Duties & role

        Taking meeting & conference room enquiries & bookings via telephone & email - ensuring all enquiries are dealt with in a timely fashion

        Assist in the day to day running of the Sales & Reservations office.

        Ensuring all confirmed bookings are inputted onto our hotsoft system.

        Chasing of provisional bookings, converting business & achieving budgets/targets.

        Ensuring accuracy of billing & information, maintaining customer profiles & following up with client after their event / meeting.

        Preparing weekly function sheets & leading the Operational meeting with departments heads weekly.

        Liaising with Kitchen & Managers in relation to the operations of the bookings.

        Dealing with all event enquiries when it comes to family gatherings, afternoon tea, christenings, communions etc - ensure restaurant diary is managed.

        Managing the bookings & events in our Swan Banqueting Suite.

 

 

Ideal Candidate

        Experience in a similar role 1-2 years (preferred)

        Previous experience using Hotsoft or another Hotel reservation system is desired

        Excellent phone manner & computer literate

        Be able to work on own initiative

        Ability to upsell & generate sales at every opportunity

        Ability to build rapport with key bookers & manage invoicing

        Work closely & support the accounts, sales & revenue team
