The project:

You will be responsible for assisting the in the development and implementation of a reporting structure for the governance requirements, ensuring that it is applied across all contracts and in line with the project’s governance arrangements. You will be required to liaise with the wider delivery team to ensure processes are in compliance with governance requirements and to update and develop the governance requirements and processes as the project progresses.

You will create and design effective implementations of PMO and project controls frameworks and strategies on assigned commissions. 

You will support best in class service delivery and effective engagement with wider industry and professional bodies to promote Mace 

You will be developing your expertise in PMO and project controls, with a growing internal and external network (e.g. clients, contractors, consultancies and other stakeholders).

Driving best practices in technical activities, processes, policies and standards.

Understanding the depth of the design and delivery requirements of technically complex.

Dealing with a range of stakeholders at all levels.

Influencing the improvement of process and providing guidance to support project delivery and reporting.

Knowledge of quality management and process improvement practices and systems is desirable, preferably within the construction sector.

Coordinating and organising multiple sources of reporting inputs/performance data and deliver project/programme reports as required.

You will manage project teams in the administration of the PMO and project controls process, particularly with respect to the cost, schedule, change, risk and reporting. 

You will support senior PMO stakeholders in influencing long term development of strategy for a function or business unit (BU), creating a sustainable business future.

You will supports the HUB PMO and project controls director with resourcing and recruitment for the assigned commission. 

You’ll need to have: 

Experience leading governance activities across the project lifecycle through to completion in large complex, infrastructure projects or projects of a similar scale/complexity. 

A level 8 recognised and relevant university degree.

Good influencing skills and can manage and motivate teams in support of delivery of high risk, value and complex projects/programs. 

Digitally savvy, can build lasting client relationships.

You’ll also have:

Membership of RICS, CIOB, APM, ICE or equivalent demonstrable professional or personal development. 

Strong commercial and financial acumen.

Leadership and management experience of large, diverse teams.

Experience of managing relationships with key senior stakeholders.

Knowledge of how carbon and sustainability considerations will shape the outlook of the projects you are working on.
