What you’ll be doing
Helping to drive and deliver procurement plans and and activities in Networks Support Services & Maintenance, Strategic Sourcing & Procurement. Negotiating and implementing procurement frameworks and procedures Looking for operational and cost efficiency speeding up revenue gain by reselling/ recycling Ability to work within (sometimes complex) supply chain scenarios and provide agile responses to Business Units to assist in the progression of market opportunities Providing key inputs for Category Strategies and Process Optimisation and Sourcing activities, through planning and execution of sourcing, and supplier and risk management activities Building and maintaining category knowledge, applying best practices around sourcing approach, supplier selection, total cost of ownership and negotiation tactics Drive and deliver end-to-end sourcing projects including complex contractual and pricing models, in accordance with strict timelines Manage relationships with key internal stakeholders and suppliers and negotiate commercial and contractual arrangements utilising the latest contracting tools
The skills you'll need
We’re looking for someone that’s result orientated, ambitious, and passionate Process/ Continuous improvement. Lean/ Six Sigma certification is desirable Attention to detail is key Comfortable with digital tools Comfortable with contract negotiation Experience within a fast-paced, busy Procurement function Good business expertise in category management, particularly around supplier capabilities and commercial models required to deliver customer requirements Ability to manage sometimes complex, strategic, and commercial requirements between BT and suppliers, and deliver projects and results on time and in full
