About the Role

This role will be for a new full stack team (frontend, backend, full stack, and QA engineers) which will deliver enhancements across our UI Platform, improving the user experience for our 60+ million Workday users around the world. The team will primarily be focused on improving the performance, user experience and platform capabilities for rendering large repeating data sets to our end users.

As a Front End Software Development Engineer you will;

Write and maintain robust, efficient and maintainable code using modern UI frameworks and tools, including Typescript & React

Write reliable unit, integration, and system level tests that will run on our CD pipeline

Collaborate with multi-functional teams to deliver features across core Workday products

Understand and promote industry standard methodology

Be a part of technical design and architecture meetings with the team and perform peer code reviews as part of everyday workflow

Demonstrate technical awareness, innovation and communication skills in your interactions with the people outside your immediate team/org

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree or higher, preferably Computer Science/Engineering

4-5+ years’ experience developing software in a commercial environment

3+ years’ experience in developing web applications in HTML5/CSS/JS using frameworks/libraries

2+ years experience working with React or other modern Javascript frameworks

Strong understanding of UX best practice

Proven ability to work in an agile, fast paced continuous delivery environment

Other Qualifications:

A passion for innovation and ability to contribute to shaping the technical and product roadmaps

Willingness to flex between client & server-side development
