The Hyatt Centric Hotel are accepting applications for a Food & Beverage Manager to work closely with the Managing Director/General Manager to oversee the Food & Beverage operation. The scope of the role will include overseeing Food & Beverage and Banqueting service. The Hyatt Centric was recently voted in the Top 10 Hotels in Ireland on Tripadvisor so you will be joining a renowned property under a global brand. The candidate will develop and execute food and beverage strategy and goals for Hyatt Centric while upholding the core values of the hotel and the Hodson Bay group; work directly with the F&B leadership team, kitchen team & wider hotel team to develop and implement promotions, food and wine pairings, menu items and presentations; develop a food and beverage operating strategy that is aligned with the hotel's business strategy and leads its execution.

 

Key roles & responsibilities:

Team

      Upholds the core values of the Hotel Group and champions all core etiquette and behaviours.

      Ensures that regular, on-going communication occurs in all areas of food and beverage (e.g., pre-meal briefings, staff meetings, culinary team).

      Reviews staffing levels to ensure that guest service and operational needs are met.

      Provides feedback to employees based on observation of service behaviours.

      Ensures employees receive on-going training to understand guest expectations.

 

Financial

      Drives the sales function and product development for the F&B Department as a whole.

      Sets goals and expectations for direct reports using the performance review process and holds staff accountable for successful performance.

      Reviews financial reports and statements to determine how Food and Beverage is performing against budget.

      Ensures cash control and liquor control policies are in place in food & beverage areas and followed by all related employees.

      Encourages calculated risk-taking to generate incremental revenue and deliver Savvy Service.

       

Guest care

      Ensure Exceptional Customer Service

      Creates an atmosphere in all food and beverage areas that meets or exceeds guest expectations.

      Reviews comment cards, guest satisfaction results and other data to identify areas of improvement.

      Strives to improve service performance.

 

Skills and Experience:

  • Relevant 3rd level qualification
  • Minimum of 2 years' F&B Management experience
  • Positive outgoing and friendly personality
  • The ability to lead and motivate the team
  • Highly organised with the ability to drive new initiatives
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with people
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
