Role Overview:

As a Social Care Worker , you will provide tailored waking night support to a young adult transitioning from psychiatric care to independent living. You will offer companionship, support with daily living tasks, and assistance with community integration activities. This role is ideal for a patient, understanding, and proactive individual with a passion for making a positive impact in the lives of those they support.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide waking night support and ensure a safe and supportive environment for the client.
  • The role involves offering companionship, supporting daily living tasks, and assisting with transportation as needed
  • Support the client's community engagement and social integration activities on weekends.
  • Work closely with the client to promote their independence and assist them in achieving their personal goals.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support, building a trusting relationship with the client.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Social Care Worker, especially with mental health support and complex needs.
  • A genuine passion for helping individuals achieve greater independence.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work nights and provide weekend community support.
  • A full driving license is preferred to assist with transportation duties.
