The Fern Dean Stepaside Nursing Home are seeking a Front of House Administrator for our state-of-the-art nursing home. Our Nursing Home is based in Stepaside in Dublin 18


The Administrator will ensure that all duties, roles, and responsibilities are completed to the required operational standards in line with the competencies required for the post.

Critical to the success of this post will be exceptional service delivery, compassionate approach and empathy that is provided to the residents, their families and visitors. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that every person entering the Home is treated with the highest level of customer service and exceptional levels of care.


*This role involves evening and weekend shifts, to be considered for this role you must be available to cover shifts during these periods*

Role and Responsibilities:

Effective delivery of all departmental administration duties

Reception and telephone duties, ensure that all queries are handled in a friendly and polite manner

Adhere to all departmental policies and procedures

Deliver a professional and efficient service to residents, their families, visitors and staff

Always ensure confidentiality of patient records

Report to the Senior Administrator on all queries / issues which cannot be resolved locally

Ensure good communication within the team at all times

Attend to resident / visitor queries in an efficient and timely manner

Communicate with confidence and in a clear manner

Ensure that all administrative work is completed accurately and in a timely manner

Maintaining a safe environment for the residents, staff and visitors of the home.

Core Competencies:

Effective communication skills both written and oral

Working knowledge of IT systems

Planning and organising duties and tasks

Maintaining resilience and composure

Possess a good level of listening skills

The ability to work on own initiative and as part of a wider team
