About the Team

The Diageo Beer Category team brews and packages 8mHls of beer at 3 sites across Ireland and the UK. This team is also responsible for managing the Diageo keg population of 2.7M kegs with an asset value of £44m. The Supply Chain Planning team interprets demand signals from Domestic and Export Markets and translates these into supply plans and replenishment plans, with the objective of optimising customer service, inventory, capacity, and cost. The function is responding to increasing SKU, packaging, and component complexity, and it is operating in environments that are becoming increasingly constrained from a supply perspective.

Purpose of the role
This role is the vital link required to successfully lead and deliver global innovation and brand change projects by managing the planning processes and key partners, along the supply chain, ensuring on time marketing activation and improving NSV opportunities. 

This will require highly developed relationships and adopting an Integrated Business Management approach. This role is also required to continually seek improvement opportunities for processes and ways of working.

Accountabilities

Ensure Brand Change products are available to meet marketing activation to generate maximum NSV for Diageo through effective project management, timely reporting, and stakeholder management.

Brand Change projects managed to optimize AWC and proactively mitigate potential service issues and minimum inventory write off.

Conduct prioritization and escalation processes for assigned projects, ensuring best Diageo decision; enabling a production plan balancing demand signal with supply capacity (and potential constraints) to optimize customer service and Diageo value.

Enhance visibility and decision making through effective reporting on a weekly basis.

Govern market performance with regard to committed project volumes to ensure financial accountabilities for all materials and finished goods.

Manage all relevant partners in various departments within Diageo to ensure smooth introduction of innovation products to Diageo’s markets.

Maintain the project scope, working together with Global Marketing and Brand Technical counterparts to ensure OTIF delivery to meet marketing launches.

Effective accurate demand capture across countries/geographies and maximising opportunities for marketing launches.

Ensure clear and accurate supply communication to key partners and markets.

Ensure a strong systemised approach is used for MRP/DRP/MPS plans so that project volumes tracked and recorded.

Strong Project Delivery by building and using excellent relationships with all staketeam members and partners, ultimately securing success of our Brands. Lead, improve and embed Brand Change related planning processes maintaining standardization, codification, and simplification of all process. Materials and Inventory management

Ensuring availability of materials in accordance with the project requirements and timeline.

Critical control of material depletion in line with project budget, providing recommendations on how to minimise cost impact to Diageo.

Manage the smooth transition to business as usual for new launches considering supply constraints and securing materials for future demand.
 

Qualifications/Experience Required:

BSc or equivalent experience in Supply Chain, Business Administration or equivalent

APICS Qualified or equivalent preferable.

Supply chain planning or project management experience in an FMCG would be advantageous.

Good knowledge and understanding of Demand and Supply Planning, Project Management, Operations, Logistics and Route to Market is desirable.

Experience of people and relationship management across complex supply chains.

Excellent IT and numerical skills, to exploit benefits of SAP ECC6, SAP APO, Business Warehouse and Microsoft Analyser.
