Manager Software Development

What you will do

You will work with software engineers, test automation engineers, solution architects, UX Designers, and other members of our 'full practice' DevOps teams to assess risks or dependencies and make decisions to move forward. Provide performance management for all the members of your team, helping them achieve more than they could have without your support Maintains overall accountability for medium to large-scale development, implementation, and maintenance projects that have a significant cross-functional business impact ensuring the solution(s) developed can sustain the long-term goals of the business. Define the staffing needs of your projects and work with the Director to transform those into budgets interlocked with our Product Team Champion best practices for your team so they can deliver in the right way, both from an engineering and an agile perspective. Manage remote teams from our offshore vendors

Qualifications

Who you are

Proven abilities in working across teams and functions. Good practical knowledge of working with DevOps and Agile frameworks Demonstrate solid knowledge of and ability to apply advanced software development principles, theories, programming languages, concepts, and techniques. Demonstrate competent use of development and project tools. Must be able to demonstrate a broad range of Software Development experience Manage your own and teams contributions to tight deadlines and ability to prioritize and focus effort on the right tasks. Responsible for fostering a strong positive collaboration with the internal teams and external customers to meet strategic goals. 10+ years experience in a Software Engineering environment. 3+ years in people management preferably with matrix experience in a global environment. Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Sciences or Engineering. Experience in managing remote teams and/or offshore vendor teams
