As part of this 2-year apprenticeship, you will receive regular on-the-job and off-the-job training on the latest technologies in the industry. You will complete 4 on the job phases where a team of qualified and experienced engineers will mentor you throughout and teach you the skills required for the role. There are 3 off the job phases which include paid classroom-based training with SOLAS.

As this is a specialist trade, this apprenticeship promises job security as your skills are always in demand both in Ireland and abroad.

This role is ideal for candidates who are practical with technical ability and have a passion for networking or IT networking systems. We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join us. The role is based out of Dublin.

Some of the skills you will learn include:

      Assisting with installation, troubleshooting, repair, maintenance & testing of work, with high attention to detail, while maintaining the highest quality work standards.

      Running of Fibre & Data infrastructure cabling to certain specifications.

      Performing physical racking of equipment i.e., Rack Prep.

      Termination of Data Points.

      Diagnosing Simple Hardware issues.

      Operating a clean as you go policy.

      Installation of cabinets.

      Termination of Multicore Cabling.

      Testing and labelling of all installed cabling.

 

The ideal candidate will need to have:

      A current driver's license.

      Willingness and ability to travel nationwide frequently.

      Flexibility to stay away from home overnight up to 4 days per week.

      Strong interest in pursuing a career in the technical field.

      Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

      Good communication and teamwork abilities.

      Practical skillset essential

      Ability to work on own initiative

      Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

      Ability to red drawings

      Strong time management

      Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills

      Ability to multitask and work on multiple projects coupled with experience in working with fast-paced engineering in a production environment
