Law Enforcement Response Specialist, EMEA

Our Trust & Safety team's commitment is to keep our online community safe. We have invested heavily in human and machine-based moderation to remove harmful content quickly and often before it reaches our general community. The Law Enforcement Response Team (LERT) is part of the Trust & Safety team. As a LERT Specialist, you will be responsible for analyzing and addressing time-sensitive user data requests, preservation requests and inquiries from law enforcement in EMEA/UK. You will work in a global and cross-functional team to ensure user safety on the platform and mitigate legal risk. You take great pride in knowing that every day you are working hard to promote trust in our platform and ensuring the highest levels of user safety. Note: This position will include reviewing content that may be offensive or sensitive to some people and will include after hours work and weekend duty. What will I be doing?- Review and respond to an every growing range of legal process and data preservation requests for user data from law enforcement agencies while protecting user privacy- Ensure that all law enforcement requests are analyzed and processed in compliance with the applicable law, our terms of service, internal Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and our law enforcement guidelines - Collaborate with cross‑functional internal teams such as legal and external partners to deal with issues concerning safety and data disclosure - Ensure operational excellence while upholding high quality, speed, and accuracy in your work - Gather and analyze relevant data to improve internal processes and consistently communicate with stakeholders. - Draft internal documentation, workflows and procedures concerning safety and data disclosure - Keep accurate records and clearly articulate operational decisions - Work on sensitive issues that include child exploitation, graphic violence, self-injury and other content which may be considered offensive or disturbingMinimum qualifications: - Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent experience and a minimum of 3 - 5 years experience in a Law Enforcement Response specialist role or similar fields. - Experience in the retrieval and formatting of data using various internal tools and platforms which continue to evolve and develop.- Fluency in English and advanced English writing skills - Strong analytical skills and a proven ability to analyse and accurately process data in a fast-moving environment with tight deadlines with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to work independently and take initiative.- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the capacity to prioritise tasks effectively. - Knowledge of how law enforcement can access user data (., Court Orders, various judicial orders)- Be a team player who is willing to tackle challenging issues in a collaborative manner with your teammates in a fast-paced multi-cultural environment with an ability to adapt, remain flexible and resilient, in a fast paced and highly pressured work environment. Preferred Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in law, criminal justice or similar.
