As the Senior Business Systems Analyst - Data Steward, you will be responsible for investigating, understanding, describing, and documenting requirements. In addition, refine and clarify information needs, define information delivery methods, and determine analytic application functions. Responsibilities include the evaluation of system output, interpretation of business needs, providing support and assistance to end users, identifying enhancements or improvements, providing impact analysis, and coordinating with others. Utilize knowledge base to evaluate large data sets to help expand capabilities and tools utilized by the end users.
Working Schedule:
Careers with Optum offer flexible work arrangements and individuals who live and work in the Republic of Ireland will have the opportunity to split their monthly work hours between our Letterkenny and Dublin and telecommuting from a home-based office in a hybrid work model.
Primary Responsibilities of a Senior Business Systems Analyst - Data Steward:
Execute reviews across key business systems within Data Mining.Analyze, review, forecast and trend complex dataDevelop/update requirements for enhancements to toolsSupport short- and long-term operational/strategic business activities through analysisDevelop, recommend and implement business solutions through research and analysis of data and business processesParticipate in the preparation of reports for business owners and senior managementProvide effective challenge to existing methodologies, policies and proceduresParticipate in the management of change follow up on changes that are created. Assist in documentation and updates of policies and proceduresAssist in the creation and maintenance of SOP’s and process flows.You will be rewarded and recognised for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role, as well as providing development for other roles you may be interested in.
Required Qualifications of a Senior Business Systems Analyst - Data Steward:
Experience with Data Governance concepts and approachesUndergrade degree in a data related fieldPrior experience as a Data Steward lead or similar roleProven track record of leading Data Quality initiatives including audit processesKnowledge of Agile conceptsExcellent communication skillsAbility to analyse data to assist in requirement definitionUnderstand of relational database conceptsSQL intermediate level (Querying)Proficiency with Excel, Visio, PowerPoint and SharePointExcellent time management, organizational and prioritization skills with ability to balance multiple prioritiesAbility to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while demonstrating good level of maturityPreferred Qualifications of a Senior Business Systems Analyst - Data Steward:
Experience in Data Visualization tools such as Power BI & TableauExperience with Rally software for agile developmentWorking knowledge of the US Healthcare IndustryProficient knowledge of SDLC & Agile Scrum frameworksPost-graduate degree in relevant fieldExperience in configuring and leading new business workstreamRisk and Quality/Clinical Solutions KnowledgePlease note you must currently be eligible to work and remain indefinitely without any restrictions in the country to which you are making an application.
