Role Purpose

A key member of the CCD team, leading the delivery of excellence in execution across all categories through the management of our newly created multi-channel Field Sales team. Owning the objective of driving sustainable growth through Availability, Visibility and Distribution levers.

Role Focus

Field Agency Management:

Defining strategy across all channels and categories to drive excellence in execution within target channels and customers Manage Field Sales budget, allocating team and resource in a way that aligns to Danone’s channel strategy and delivers return on investment Manage and deliver annual, quarterly, and monthly KPI performance through action orientated plans and reporting Working with the UK Field Effectiveness Manager to track efficiency metrics including Incremental Sales value, ROI and cost per call to maximise the effectiveness of the Field team Ensure the Field team are equipped with sell in tools and materials to deliver fantastic execution instore, including execution of field POS working alongside the Shopper team Own and ensure the monthly cycle briefing of plans and priorities into the agency partner through effective liaison with internal account sales teams Lead the internal review and animation of field performance through management of relevant stakeholder network

Fostering a collaborative but demanding partnership with our Field agency that delivers results, working with Account Controller and Account Manager contacts Inspiring outsourced remote team (x10) behind Danone’s mission and brands Leading a team to deliver the years objectives through clear, consistent and inspiring communication

As a successful Field Manager we would love to see you demonstrate: 

Strong commercial acumen to drive value Good analytical ability, able to interpret data and create an action plan from insights A strong sense of ownership for results, and a willingness to take the initiative to try new approaches to drive growth Ability to challenge and strive for continuous improvement Energised by working collaboratively and managing a broad stakeholder network (internal & external) Accomplished at storytelling, flexing communication style to bring the field and head office teams on the journey Experience leading through others - managing people and partnerships Driving ROI across all campaigns through the team Nurturing key customer and agency relationships Understands the wider business context and incorporate this in all decisions Leading excellent cross functional working to ensure customer centricity

Leadership expectations

Able to think beyond their own scope and take in the wider business needs when making decisions Can manage the balance between the operational day to day and the long-term strategic thinking Shows potential in developing their own leadership footprint and can lead through others Manages a broad network internally and externally to support delivery

Functional capabilities

Experience in shopper and/or field team management with proven track record Strong questioning and listening skills Able to demonstrate experience of well-prepared negotiations including scenario planning Strong commercial acumen Experience in delivering through others
