Goods Driver - Rooney's, Kells, Co. Meath

Part of Grafton Group Plc, Chadwicks Group is the market leader in the builder’s merchanting industry in the Republic of Ireland. Principle Objective

As a Goods Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely and safe delivery of goods to our customers. You will be responsible for representing our company in a professional manner and providing excellent customer service. 

Knowledge & Experience

Ability to safely lift and move heavy Object. Manual handling certificate desired. Experience in delivery driving preferred but not essential. Knowledge of building products, home improvement, or related industries is a plus, but not essential.

Key Responsibilities

Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport goods to customers' locations in a timely manner. Ensure all goods are loaded and secured properly for transportation to prevent damage. Provide friendly and courteous customer service during deliveries, including assisting with unloading goods and answering any questions the customer may have. Maintain a clean and organized delivery vehicle, conducting regular inspections and reporting any maintenance issues. Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving and delivering goods. Communicate effectively with the warehouse team to coordinate deliveries and ensure accurate order fulfillment. Keep accurate records of deliveries, including delivery times, quantities, and any issues encountered. Assist with other duties as needed, including warehouse work or helping customers in-store.
