As Pensions Specialist on our Global Benefits Team, you will support the Pensions Manager and contribute to, and support Primark’s Global Benefits strategy. What You’ll Do:
In your role, you’ll collaborate with different people across a range of skillsets. Here’s a flavour of your day-to-day:
  • You will support the Pensions Manager on all pension and risk benefits (life assurance and income continuance) across all markets.
  • You will support with enhancements or changes to our offerings as needed in line with market requirements (legislation and competitive).
  • You will support the Pensions Manager on Trustee Secretarial responsibilities e.g., quarterly meeting preparation. 
  • You will oversee the day-to-day management of pension related issues including retirements and complex queries.
  • You will support on operational activities and annual and ad-hoc projects for all schemes e.g., annual renewals, rate reviews.  
  • You will support the development and implementation of pension and risk benefit policies and processes.
  • You will support raising awareness and promoting the benefits of our pension schemes and risk benefits to our colleagues.
  • You will provide day to day management of budgets, including managing invoices.
  • You will manage related tasks on our HRIS system, Workday.
  • You will support the wider Benefits Team, as required, in providing advice and guidance to the business on a variety of strategic business initiatives & projects, from a benefits perspective.

What You’ll Bring

  • You will bring 5+ years relevant experience in a similar pensions role and are ideally educated to degree level or equivalent standard (including pension qualifications).
  • You have knowledge of Defined Contribution and Defined Benefit schemes.
  • You will bring experience supporting the delivery of pension and risk benefit related projects.
  • You are an excellent communicator (oral and written) and a good relationship builder.
  • You enjoy working as one team as well as taking ownership of solo projects and working on own initiative.  
  • You have excellent attention to detail, project management and organisational skills.
  • You bring previous experience effectively managing competing priorities.
  • You have strong problem-solving skills, and a customer-focused mind-set are essential.
  • You are proficient in excel.
  • You have a passion for working in a fast-paced environment.
  • You can be a brand Ambassador for the Benefits Team.
