An esteemed educational institution in Dublin 2 are on the lookout for a skilled  Cloud Security Architect  to join their IT Services team.

This role is critical in ensuring the security of the institution's cloud-based applications and data, contributing significantly to the university's cyber security assurance programme.

With a focus on innovation and technology, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of IT security within the institution.

Key Responsibilities

Design and implement cloud security strategies and policies. Ensure the security of cloud-based data and applications against unauthorized access and other threats. Collaborate with IT professionals to integrate cloud security measures into existing systems. Act as a security consultant to IT Managers and specialists across various projects. Perform architecture gap analysis and develop action plans to bridge these gaps. Maintain and publish architecture models, including current and future state architectures. Manage vendor relationships and contribute to procurement activities related to services and solutions.

Key Skills and Requirements

Qualifications:

A 3rd Level qualification in a relevant ICT discipline or equivalent experience. Professional certification such as CCSP, CISSP, or CCA. Microsoft Azure Certifications.

Experience:

At least 3 years in a specialised cloud security role. 10+ years of general experience in IT roles. Strong understanding of cloud computing technologies and security frameworks.

Skills:

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
