Job Description

We are hiring a healthcare assistant to lead a Nursing home in Dublin, Ireland.
Fulltime, Permanent 42 hours per week

Responsibilities
  • Assist nurses and senior carers in providing the highest caliber of care at home.
  • Help make sure that care plans are updated and regularly evaluated, that they accurately reflect the care being provided, and that they are suitable for the requirements of the residents.
  • Assist with mealtimes and take part in all activities offered by the facility to support our relationship-centered care and foster the development of relationships among residents.
  • Completing meal and fluid charts, reporting, and tracking other daily monitoring activities.
  • Consistently adhering to the care plans of clients.
  • Helping to maintain infection control by helping to clean and organize the facility.
  • They keep track of a patient’s physical and behavioral changes and alert the appropriate healthcare provider to any unexpected incidents.
  • They ensure that medications are administered on schedule.
  • In their physical therapy activities, they support the patients.
  • They keep the healthcare team informed as they periodically check the patient’s blood pressure, heartbeat, and pulse.
  • They evaluate a patient’s health advancements and make the appropriate updates to the patient’s history.


Requirements
  • FETAC/QQI Level 5 qualification in healthcare or equivalent.
  • Experience working in a healthcare environment (with a good knowledge of HIQA standards) is preferable.
  • Excellent communication and listening skills.
  • Reliable and professional.
  • Can work independently or as part of a team.
  • Ability to maintain a positive outlook.
