What you’ll be doing

Lead the end-to-end process to provide procurement support for global customer bids, including opportunity identification, qualification and delivery of procurement input for in-scope bids. Developing and executing bid support strategies that align with the company’s goals and customer account requirements. Coordinating with various teams, including sales, technical, legal and finance to ensure all procurement obligations on a bid are addressed. Maintaining comprehensive and accurate bid-related documentation, including bid-related procurement files, records of communication and pricing information. Participating in negotiation sessions to secure favourable terms and conditions. Ensuring the compliance of supplier agreements with client requirements. Monitoring and evaluating bid support metrics to identify areas for improvement.  Identify and evaluate new business opportunities through data analysis and stakeholder engagement. Lead and coordinate the entire bid support process, including reviewing bid invitations, requests for support, conducting bid triage analysis and establishing timelines. Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as sales, operations and subject matter experts, to gather information and develop strategies to optimise the 3rd party supplier contribution to customer bids. Oversee and project manage procurement efforts for customer bids, ensuring key stakeholders provide input and address concerns or issues. Work with buyers to develop competitive pricing strategies that align with bid requirements. Continuously refine and improve bid support processes, templates and best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Stay updated on industry trends, market insights and emerging best practices in bid support.

The skills you’ll need

Experience in procurement, category management, particularly around supplier capabilities and commercial models required to deliver customer requirements. Experience in dealing with and/or supporting customer bids will be an added advantage. Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines and manage multiple bids simultaneously. Attention to detail is key. Comfortable with digital tools Exceptional organisational and time management skills. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to assess bid opportunities and develop winning strategies. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and persuasively. Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at various levels.
