Role & Key Responsibilities:

The Corporate Clients Graduate Programme has been designed as a real booster of your personal and professional development. It is the ideal starting point to start your career in corporate banking.

You are hired on a permanent contract within BNP Paribas CIB (Corporate & Institutional Banking) and you start your journey with a 12 month rotational path:

·         2 weeks of induction in Paris.

·         a first 6-month rotation within Transaction Banking in the country where you have been recruited.

·         a second 5-month rotation within Corporate Coverage in another country

You will quickly take on responsibilities via this immersive rotational path structured around diversified missions.

Throughout this programme, a buddy will facilitate your integration and you will benefit from a dedicated HR support.

Finally, you will join a learning community to share and grow collectively in a co-development approach.

Following your 2-week induction, you will join Transaction Banking department, for a period of 6 months.

Transaction Banking is global, #1 in Europe, key for our clients and at the heart of BNP Paribas strategy. It accompanies clients’ international expansion, supports their working capital needs, payment and collection requirements, and helps them manage liquidity. 

In Transaction Banking, you will handle clients’ operational needs and daily transactions, and support their transition toward a more sustainable approach.

You will acquire valuable on-the-ground expertise and commercial skills along our business and data experts, through diverse clients and problematics.

You will have the opportunity to rotate in one of the 3 business departments below:

·        Trade/Supply Chain Management

A key component of CIB Global Banking division, Global Trade Solutions (GTS) is BNP Paribas’ Trade Finance and Working Capital Solutions franchise. GTS is a global network of more than 300 experts providing local offers and tailored on-the-ground expertise. It is ranked among the top three globally and number one in Europe.

GTS provides a complete range of traditional trade products and services, as well as Supply Chain Management (SCM) and other structured trade solutions. SCM allows corporate clients to optimise their working capital position, the team is located in Paris and Dublin.

As a graduate, you will participate to the structuring of Trade and Supply Chain transactions, working alongside the Marketers, from pitching to execution of the contracts. You will take part to meetings with Marketers, Coverage Officers, and Clients in relation to structuring and operational aspects of new transactions.

You will have to seek relevant credit and capital approval, run pricing/GRR models, prepare business green-lights requests and credit memo, and assist managers with the credit process jointly with the relevant coverage team.

You will join the digital community to spread best practices in terms of digitization of trade finance business, help GTS trade managers to pitch/onboard clients on our digital channels solutions. We count on you to contribute and be proactive to ongoing Business Projects

·        Cash Management

Cash management offer is the set of products and services that enables corporate treasurers to control their flows and manage their liquidity.

It deals with a broad set of solutions to manage ingoing and outgoing flows, concentrate cash positions and manage short-term liquidity. It deals with basic needs (current accounts, payments and collection, electronic banking, transaction security), liquidity accessibility needs (information access, centralization) and investments (LIS) and FX.

As a graduate, you will join the EMEA Cash Management team which is part of the cash management business line within CIB EMEA: its primary missions are to proactively market clients; structure multi-countries cash management offers in Europe, particularly in response to calls for tenders from large corporates; and accompany clients in implementing cash management set-up and managing flows.

You will have to contribute to the Sales strategy and roadmap, as well as internal initiatives.

You will work on client pitches, proposals and pricing.

·        Liquidity and Investment Solutions (LIS)

LIS’ objective is to contribute to Global Banking funding deposit objective through collection of deposits (mainly corporates), whilst optimising revenues. To reach this goal, LIS contributes to position BNP Paribas as a global leader for liquidity expertise and knowledge. They provide advisory for all clients allocated by Coverage Banker and guarantee solutions and prices with the goal of volumes, duration and quality while keeping profitability into account.

LIS keeps standardising pricing across multiple geographies and ensures Global Banking individual client assets are matched with liabilities. 

As a graduate, you will assist and support Cash Management, LIS and Coverage through Liquidity Management Advisory. It consists in preparing client presentations on liquidity and short term investment strategies in coordination with our experts. You will have to maintain a detailed pipeline on a weekly basis, following the global LIS quality guidelines

You will support and assist sales working with all distribution channel and Coverage team. You will also provide and prepare internal presentations for local ALCO meetings with ALM Treasury or regular activity reporting. 

After the end of your first rotation within Transaction Banking, you will join the Coverage teams for your second rotation in another European country.

Indeed, you will benefit of an international exposure by joining one of our EU platform: France, Switzerland, Ireland, Italy, Germany, Netherlands, and Portugal.

Corporate Coverage EMEA (CCEMEA) is the entry point of corporate clients within BNP Paribas, whether mid caps or strategic, advising and offering them all the services and banking products proposed by BNP Paribas on worldwide basis. CCEMEA defines the Bank’s strategy towards these clients, originating transactions on a standalone basis or in collaboration with all BNP Paribas business lines. 

As a graduate, your main mission will be to support the Corporate Coverage Team in the management and development of the relationships with their clients. 

You will play a fundamental role within the Corporate Coverage business model by playing a key role on 3 dimensions: 

- Commercial, by contributing to the development and profitability of the client relationship in connection with the Managing Directors (MDs), Directors (Ds) and Vice Presidents (VPs). You will support them in the preparation & follow up of the Strategic Business Review and other actions necessary to ensure a strong commercial dialogue between the Client and the Bank. You will be also in charge of the Multinational Corporations (MNCs) coordination should there be any in his portfolio.

- Credit, by being active in the selection of the bank’s assets, thereby contributing to the sustainability of the business model. You will be responsible for monitoring the overall risks and credit process of a portfolio of Pilot Groups. You will contribute to the green light process and to the structuration of plain vanilla products / loan book transactions.

- Compliance/KYC & ESG, by providing a deep dive analysis of the Compliance and ESG profile of your clients, identifying potential risk (amongst which image and reputation) when entering into relation and / or providing financing to a client, but also potential commercial development where the Bank can support the ESG transition of its clients. The KYC activity focuses on the more added-value tasks by supporting bankers in steering the KYC Strategy for their client portfolio.

At the end of the programme you will join back the Transaction Banking department as analyst.

Qualifications & Experience required for this role:

You have a third level University degree or a masters’ degree in finance/business and/or economics and/or accounting and you graduated less than 2 years ago.

You have a maximum of 24 months of professional experience (excluding internships, work study programmes) from the date of your graduation.
