The Procurement Professional supports in the implementation of procurement strategies for complex projects across the BT Group's spend categories, delivering procurement of material / services through the identification of needs and execution of purchasing according to established agreements.

What you’ll be doing

1. Supports the development of the annual Procurement plan and budget.
2. Executes the consolidation of purchase needs and seeking synergies that will create economies of scale to reduce purchase cost.
3. Reviews the vendor market to identify suppliers that meet BT Group compliance and governance criteria, providing alternatives and ensuring supply chain resiliency.
4. Supports the preparation of RFPs (request for proposals) based on the technical requirements, market trends and BT Group's business standards.
5. Supports in the evaluation, assessment, and negotiation of RFP's based on specifications set, identifying areas of concern and proposing ways for mitigation, proposing the preferred vendor, and providing solid rationale for the selection of the most efficient solution for the BT Group.
6. Supports the timely delivery of materials and services to users and resolution of standard issues with vendors / providers.
7. Supports the development of management reports regarding the progress and results of the Procurement plan, execution progress and cost.
8. Supports in the implementation of ways to improve working processes within the area of commercial procurement.
