POSITION OVERVIEW: 

As the Director of Global Training and Process Excellence, you will lead the efforts to ensure the adoption and continuation of Training Within Industry (TWI) and Job Instruction methodologies across our global operations. Your primary focus will be to build the skills, knowledge, and confidence of employees, enabling them to understand the intricacies of their roles, perform tasks consistently, comprehend the underlying reasons behind standard procedures, and contribute to ongoing process improvement initiatives. TWI and Job Instruction are industry proven and reliable systems for elevating the kind of employee engagement and empowerment that builds stability in processes and advances ongoing improvement. 


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Leadership in Training Effectiveness and Job Instruction Implementation:

Provide leadership and guidance to local training teams to ensure consistency and alignment with organisational objectives.Develop and execute strategic plans to drive the adoption and sustainability of TWI and Job Instruction methodologies throughout the organisation.Champion a culture of continuous learning, process excellence, and operational efficiency across all levels of the organisation.


Training Program Development and Delivery:

Develop and implement comprehensive training programs focused on TWI and Job Instruction principles.Work closely with training leaders to create engaging training materials and standard work procedures.Ensure that training programs are customized to meet the diverse needs of employees across various regions and business units.


Train the Trainer Initiatives:

Establish a network of certified trainers proficient in delivering TWI and Job Instruction training modules.Conduct Train the Trainer sessions to equip trainers with the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively deliver training to frontline personnel.Monitor trainer performance and provide ongoing support and guidance to ensure consistency and quality in training delivery.


Process Excellence and Continuous Improvement:

Support the deployment of global quality improvement initiatives, in particular Patient Connection, Training around product and process hazards, Critical control point management, and Good Saves recognition. Lead efforts to embed TWI and Job Instruction principles into existing processes and workflows, driving stability and standardization.Drive the implementation of lean methodologies, kaizen events, and other continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.


Performance Evaluation and Metrics:

Define appropriate metrics and governance to evaluate the effectiveness and impact of Job Instruction training programs.Regularly assess training outcomes, employee competency levels, and process adherence to identify areas for improvement.Utilize data-driven insights to measure progress, track performance trends, and make informed decisions to optimize training strategies.


Education / Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field; Master's degree preferred.Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in operations management, training, or process improvement roles within a global manufacturing or distribution environment.Expertise in Training Within Industry (TWI) and Job Instruction methodologies, with a track record of successful implementation and sustainability.Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, motivate, and influence teams across geographical boundaries.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.Proficiency in data analysis, performance measurement, and continuous improvement methodologies.

KEY RELATIONSHIPS / INTERFACES:

Daily interface and engagement with the local training leaders across the global networkFrequent engagement with global and regional leaders representing Operations, QARA, and HRRegular engagement with all other functional leaders as required


Travel: Approximately 25% to 30% travel is required with this role.
