  • Responsible for co-ordinating delivery of the Settlements teams responsibilities ensuring data protection and regulatory requirements are met. Ensure effective and timely communication to all Settlements partners. Maintain strong control links and oversight with teams where Ireland have outsourced activities to those teams.
  • Participate at client, audit, compliance, and all other external/internal meetings representing the TA Settlements function. Participate in Presentations to all levels (internal/external)
  • Ensure people management activities are completed in an organised and timely manner including but not limited to:- Appraisals, Objective Setting, Training, 1-2-1’s including well-structured development plans for partners, recruitment/interviewing, etc. Ensure strong Diversity and Inclusion within the team. Confidently deal with partner development, mentoring, and coaching for Settlements partners. Tackle performance issues proactively.
  • Collate annual Strategy Plans for the Settlements Team ensuring expectations are realistic whilst challenging. Maintain and report throughout the year on progress.
  • Responsible for ensuring all client service standards and regulatory requirements are met in conjunction with managing all strategic, regulatory, and operational changes impacting the Settlements processes and teams.
  • Ensure strong Employee Engagement Levels are maintained within the Settlements team.
  • Ensure you and all partners within the Settlements team are adhering to Northern Trust policies, procedures, and controls.
  • Prepare daily/weekly/monthly Management Reports within agreed timelines. Analyse and understand data.
  • Ensure all Incident Reporting completed within the required timelines to a high standard and that solution-driven preventative measures are identified/implemented understood and procedures updated accordingly.
  • Analyse errors and near misses and proactively implement risk-based solutions to prevent trends emerging.
  • Involvement in Audits/Reviews relating to Settlements, leading management responses to effectively manage prescribed timelines.
  • Continually improve the service offering to clients (both external and internal) and Investors.

Skills/ Qualifications:

The successful candidate will benefit from having:

  • Extensive track record in managing fast-paced deadline-driven functions, including effective problem-solving and decision-making within a pressurised environment
  • Proven interpersonal people management, relationship building, mentoring, coaching, and team engagement skills
  • In-depth experience of managing and implementing client service standards, regulatory requirements, strategic, regulatory, and operational changes
  • Proven leadership and team-building qualities including delegation and the ability to motivate people/teams
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills
  • Demonstrate an excellent understanding of effective risk management
  • Ability to effectively problem solve and effective decision making within a pressurised environment
  • Past Transfer Agency experience is advantageous
