Our client The Land Development Agency (LDA) is a key Government Commercial Semi-State Body that delivers social and affordable housing on State and other lands. It is overseen by an independent board of directors and the Government has committed to providing the LDA with â¬1.25 billion of equity which is drawn as required.

The LDA has commenced construction on various state sourced lands and is currently working on direct delivery projects that can deliver over 5,000 homes. It is also delivering affordable housing by working with the private sector on an initiative called Project Tosaigh, which will yield a further 5,000 homes.

Additionally, the LDA is working on large-scale longer-term strategic areas by master-planning and bringing forward planning applications in locations such as Limerick Colbert Quarter, the Digital Hub in Dublin and Sandy Road in Galway.


The Role

The successful candidate will be actively engaged in the administration and support of Land Development Agency, LDA IT systems, primarily responsible for the administration of our SharePoint environment, including design, implementation, and maintenance of workflows and other features. This position requires expertise in SharePoint administration, a strong understanding of collaboration tools, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and business units.

Reporting to the IT Operations & Security Manager, the primary role of the IT Systems Administrator is to assist the IT Operations & Security Manager in managing and maintaining the critical IT functions of the LDA.


More specifically under the following key aspects of the role; the individual will be responsible for the following tasks:

·       Systems Administration:

o  Manage and administer SharePoint and other systems environments. Configure and customise SharePoint sites, libraries, lists, and workflows.

·       Security & Access Controls:

o  Manage user roles and access controls, ensuring security best practices are upheld. Collaborate with the IT Manager to enforce data protection and access control policies.

·       Collaboration and Integration Solutions:

o  Work closely with business units to understand document management & collaboration requirements. Work with the solution provider to design and implement solutions using SharePoint and other tools as appropriate. Integrate SharePoint with other business systems and applications as needed.

·       Troubleshooting and Support:

o  Working with business units and systems support vendors to ensure they provide support & advice to end-users.

o  Training and Documentation:

o  Develop training materials and conduct training sessions for end-users and other IT staff. Create and maintain documentation for system configurations, processes, and best practices.

·       Performance Monitoring and Optimization:

o  Monitor systems performance and conduct regular optimisation activities. Implement improvements to enhance system performance. Measure vendor performance and participate vendor performance reviews.

·       Systems Management:

o  Implement and manage data retention, backup and recovery processes for systems data. Ensure the integrity and availability of data.

o  Working with the solution provider & other IT support vendors to plan and execute systems upgrades, ensuring that the environment is kept up to date.


Qualifications and Experience

Essential experience/knowledge

·        A minimum of 3 yearsâ experience, of working in a commercial or public sector corporate environment.

·        Technical Degree to bachelor level or other related third level qualification.

·        Relevant experience including document management systems and process analysis.

·        A good understanding of best practice Information Security.

·        Experience of aligning IT solutions with business needs.

·        Proven ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks.

·        Understanding of aligning IT orientated solutions to business needs and requirements.

·        Experience working with modern cloud-based technologies.

 

Desirable

·        Certification in SharePoint Administration.

·        Experience with SharePoint migration projects.

·        Experience with Power Automate.

·        Knowledge of PowerShell and SharePoint scripting
