Senior Sales Representative

Due to continued success, my client based in the Sandyford area is looking for a skilled and experienced Senior Sales Representative to join their team. This position involves a combination of office and field work, including client visits, trade shows, and industry events.
The job in a nutshell:
Reporting to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for driving sales, building strong relationships with clients, identifying new business opportunities, and supporting the company in achieving revenue targets. This role requires a good understanding of the construction industry and a proven track record in sales.
Main responsibilities include:
- Develop and implement sales strategies to meet or exceed sales targets.
- Build and maintain relationships with key clients, contractors, architects, and other industry stakeholders.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through cold calling, networking, referrals and developing further existing relationships with key clients.
- Provide product demonstrations, presentations, and technical support to clients as needed.
Collaborate with the company management to develop pricing strategies, promotions, and marketing campaigns. - Keep abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to adjust sales strategies accordingly.
- Prepare and deliver sales proposals and reports to clients and management.
Attend trade shows, industry events, and networking functions to promote company products and services. - Provide feedback to management on market conditions, customer needs, and product performance.
The ideal candidate will have the following:
- Minimum of 5 years + experience in sales, preferably in the building materials industry.
- Thorough understanding of various building process, materials & industry roles.
- Proven track record of success in sales, preferably in the construction supplies industry.
- Ability to articulate the features, benefits, and applications of different building materials to customers.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Ideally bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or related field.
- Familiarity with construction project management processes
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of construction products, industry trends, and customer needs.
- Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and sales tools.
- Full clean drivers licence and willingness to travel and work flexible hours as needed.
