The Supply Chain and Procurement Manager is responsible for overseeing the entire supply chain operations, including sourcing, purchasing, inventory management, and logistics.
Key Responsibilities:- Strategic Sourcing & Procurement: Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with company goals. Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on cost, quality, and delivery reliability.
- Supply Chain Management: Oversee and manage end-to-end supply chain processes including demand planning, procurement, transportation, and inventory control.
- Inventory Management: Optimize inventory levels to balance carrying costs with production requirements.
- Supplier & Vendor Management: Continuously assess supplier performance and initiate corrective actions when necessary.
- Cost Optimization & Risk Management: Identify opportunities for cost savings through process improvements, supplier consolidation, and negotiations.
- Manage and lead the procurement and supply chain team, providing mentorship and training.
- Set performance objectives for team members and evaluate performance regularly.
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or related field. A Master's degree or professional certifications (e.g. CPSM, CPIM) is a plus.
At least 5 years' experience in supply chain management, procurement, or a related field, with at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial role. Manufacturing environment essential.
Skills:- Strong negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills.
- Proficiency in supply chain management software and ERP systems.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to assess data and trends for decision-making.
