Dublin, Dublin City, Ireland Irish Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children Full time
Childline Therapeutic Support Worker – Non-Violent Resistance programme

The Non-Violent Resistance programme seeks to address the pressing issue of child to parent violence, which has become a growing concern in Ireland.

The Childline Therapeutic Support Service NVR will provide the NVR groupwork to parents & carers who may be experiencing conflict and behavioural difficulties in the home, with a focus on trauma informed care and practice. The programme changes both the relationships within the family and the behaviour of parents and children, thereby enhancing the community's capacity to address and prevent violence, ultimately supporting the creation of safer and more resilient communities.

Through a structured 9-week programme that includes group training sessions, 1-1 check-ins and continuous assessment and evaluation, parents gain a comprehensive understanding of non-violent resistance strategies.
