Job Description

The Senior Project Director provides leadership over our education market, including areas of project management, construction management, and operations overseeing multiple project teams. Duties include client relationships, marketing, internal administration, financial management, and employee development. This role is key in developing new work opportunities by identifying new leads, establishing new business contacts, cultivating existing relationships, and potentially acting as proposal champion and/or capture manager for new pursuits.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  1. Lead construction efforts in accordance with the district's program policies and procedures.
  2. Develop an implementation plan and master schedule that reflects the priorities of the district(s).
  3. Responsible for timely completion of all deliverables required by the client(s).
  4. Financial reporting to the client and the bond oversight committee.
  5. Develop and review contract documents.
  6. Report and collaborate with client's senior management team on all project matters.
  7. Develop and implement a program quality management system.
  8. Document and report all program/project data accurately and in a timely manner.
  9. Manage program controls, cost, schedule, performance activities, and procedures required by the client.
  10. Track all program and project level status and provide management reports relative to scheduling, cost control, staffing, and other related contract requirements.
  11. Create and present program and project data clearly to multiple internal and external stakeholder groups.
  12. Identify risk and create risk mitigation plans successfully.
  13. Develop recommended actions and assist in resolving disputes relative to design and construction.
  14. Provide management of program logistics, organization, safety, and manpower utilization.
  15. Perform other related duties as assigned to ensure program and project success.
  16. Ensure contractor, architect, and engineer will adhere to contractual requirements on areas of safety, performance, project staff, and equipment.
  17. Assure project plans and activities are kept up to date and reported as required.
Minimum Qualifications
  1. Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related degree is required. Commensurate K-12 experience in lieu of a Bachelor's Degree may be considered.
  2. 10+ years of experience providing project/program management services.
  3. Experience in managing the full construction of Education construction project life-cycle, including pre-construction, design phases, and oversight of constructability reviews.
  4. Knowledge and application of construction estimating, cost, project controls/scheduling, documentation, engineering/construction principles, techniques, materials, applications, and practices.
  5. Strong computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite products, and experience with project-related scheduling systems such as MS Project or Primavera.
  6. DBIA Certified is required.
  7. Experience in alternative project delivery methods including Design-Build is preferred.
  8. Experience in maximizing the benefits of Building Information Modeling (BIM) is preferred.
  9. Experience in application of Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) is preferred.
  10. Registration as Architect or Professional Engineer license is preferred but not required.

Offered Rate of Compensation: The salary range for this position is $180,000-$210,000, based on a variety of non-discriminatory factors, including education, qualifications, experience, and geographic location.
