Long established and recognised UK-IRL Road Freight company now seeks an experienced Business Development Executive for their Dublin 11 offices. The purpose of the role is to generate sales to achieve agreed targets by introducing new customers while maintaining and developing the existing client base.

Key Activities / Accountabilities:

  • Generate and follow up sales leads, visiting potential and existing customers to obtain new business at a reasonable profit.
  • Develop and maintain effective business relationships with new and existing clients.
  • Offer a high standard of customer service to customers, demonstrating a professional, helpful, and positive manner.
  • Undertake presentations, produce and present tenders and proposals for new business, and provide quotations as required.
  • Conduct sales visits to generate business.
  • Monitor and report on current developments in the market and information on competitors.
  • Prepare and present information for the management team, including the submission of weekly and monthly sales reports.

Requirements:

  • Recent Roadfreight Sales experience in the Irish market.
  • Motivated, self-starter.
  • Strong communication, organisational, and time management skills.
  • Hands-on with a strong work ethic.
  • Target oriented.
  • Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and an optimistic outlook.

Type: Full-time permanent

Package: Basic salary depends on experience, plus commission and car allowance.
