The role requires supporting the delivery of transmission services to Surecom's customers in an environment.

The services include build, commission, decommissioning, maintenance and logistics. It is a field delivery role.

Responsibilities

Installation and commissioning of MW transmission equipment (Ericsson, Ceragon & SIAE) in accordance with quality and health & safety standards

Equipment assembly, erection, positioning, and labelling

Install, test and maintain telecommunications transmission equipment

Installation and customisation of telecommunications software applications

Analysis of system faults

Decommissioning of old transmission equipment

Completion of appropriate process and hand over documentation

Deliver on program requirements as directed by Project Manager

Use the correct tools and equipment for the job and ensure that tools are kept in good condition

Ensure Health and safety is taken extremely seriously and always work in a safe manner

Competencies/Personality Traits

3 years minimum Telecommunications industry experience

Experience with Ericsson/Ceragon/SIAE technologies is advantageous but not essential

Microwave Transmission experience (Preferable)

Demonstrated skills in fault diagnosis

Excellent communications skills both written and verbal, sound computing skills also required

Demonstrated knowledge of safe working practices

Adherence to company standards and operating practices at all times

Current Full driver's licence

Computer Literacy - proficiency of MS office; Work, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
