This project will assist Jaguar Land Rover in creating the future software for its luxury brand. We are seeking talented, passionate, innovative, creative and driven people to support Jaguar Land Rover transform their business. This is a key strategic initiative to create a dynamic platform that will drive research and innovation while steering towards advanced concepts and electric vehicle (EV) technologies, why not be part of this journey. TCS will help the luxury carmaker accelerate the modernisation of its IT Estate and build a new technology architecture that will support its "Reimagine" story.
As a Senior Full Stack Developer, you will support the design and development of components and solutions for a global testing platform. This platform is intended to be used on autonomous vehicles and advanced control systems to infotainment, cloud-connected features and integration of consumer electronic technologies.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop scalable cloud native software application solutions.
- Design and implement software features to meet desired user experience, functional, and security requirements, coordinating efforts with product owner and development leads.
- Write and maintain automated unit tests, ensuring test coverage meets agreed upon standards.
- Perform code reviews and merge requests as needed.
- Support and mentor others within the team on software engineering best practices
- Positive contribution to design discussions in software engineering practices
- Ability to contribute to software best practice discussions
- Communicate with internal and external stakeholders and technical experts to support project execution.
Key Technical skills/knowledge/experience:
- Industry experience in application development leveraging Python.
- Extensive experience with current enterprise application software development.
- Proven track record working on distributed web software application systems at scale.
- Proven experience architecting and developing scalable backend systems.
- Proficient on application development using Python programming, frameworks such as Django, code testing, best practices. For example, equivalent to PCPP2 level or higher.
- Experience on JavaScript programming and frameworks such as React.
- Proven use of design patterns, functional and object-oriented programming, APIs, formed approaches on how to deliver clean and well-structured code.
- Proven experience with a range of cloud providers such as GCP & AWS.
- Cloud implementations of messaging/event buses, Containerization, Kubernetes, Microservices and Serverless.
- Proven experience in design and maintenance of database systems such as Postgres & Redis.
- Experience on migrations of monolithic applications into serverless microservices.
- Have worked in Agile to deliver strategic business outcomes.
- Self-motivation, flexibility, with strong social skills.
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum and associated tools such as Jira, confluence.
- Experience in Behaviour Driven Development & Gherkin.
- Experience in Rust.
