TTM Healthcare Solutions are proud to partner with our client in the Public Sector based in Dublin 2 to recruit a Grade IV Medical Secretary for immediate start.

Full time- 35 hrs per week, Mon-Fri
Part time- 14 hrs per week
Expected temporary 3 months placement . Please note this does not supersede the existing T&C's as outlined in your contract of employment.
Rates vary from €17.68 to €27.98 - Depending on relevant verified public sector experience.

Mandatory criteria:

• At least 1 year's secretarial/administrative experience.

• Excellent typing skills, including Dictaphone typing (in excess of 60wpm)

• Excellent knowledge of medical terminology

Duties

• Daily collection of Healthcare Records from Consultants Rooms and transcription of dictations.

• Insert/scan dictated letters into the Patient Record.

• Ensure timely return and maintenance of healthcare records in accordance with hospital standards.

• Assist in integrating new software for departmental operations.

• Ensure effective and efficient use of information technology for patient care and administrative support

• Efficiently support Ophthalmic and Otolaryngology Consultants and their multidisciplinary teams with specific consultant workloads.

• Adapt to workload changes as directed by the Patient Services Manager based on service requirements.

• File and distribute general correspondence and documentation to GPs and referring practitioners.

• Ensure all correspondence meets hospital standards and complies with NHO standards.

• The ability to work on own initiative and prioritize workload.

• Excellent communications and interpersonal skills.

• Adapt a professional approach at all times.
