Vertiv, formally E & I Engineer are hiring a Project Electrical Engineer to be based at the Letterkenny, Ireland site. Vertiv, Ireland are responsible for the engineering of power distribution solutions including Busbar Trunking, Switchgear, Energy Management and Modular Power Solutions on a global scale. Our Project Electrical Engineers are responsible for customized solutions for two main business sectors: Data Centers, and Telecom. 

Your main responsibilities will include: 

  • Designing and developing modular buildings for customized solutions in accordance with highest standards and demanding requests. 
  • Electrical design on projects (Electrical, Fire Alarm and Controls systems). 
  • Integration with other disciplines; architectural, structural, mechanical. Focus on general design, concepts, calculation, etc
  • C ooperation with the design team in the development of CD (construction documentation) sets & selection of LL equipment. 
  • Preparing BoMs and ordering installation material and non-critical equipment
  • Involvement during the design stage trough content and constructability review, responsible for providing feedback (comments) into the design community.
  •  Responsible for:
    a.    As Built Documentation
    b.    FAT procedures (L3)
    c.    Installation manuals
    d.    Assisting with Punch list items

Ideal skills and experience include: 

  • Required experience 1+ years on similar positions
  • Active user of: Windows, MS Office incl. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, AutoCAD
  • Proficient modeling skills required, preferred: Revit; EPLAN
  • Masters/or degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent

There will be a requirement of 10% travel to client sites and other Vertiv sites mainly within the EMEA region.
