Due to ongoing expansion, we are recruiting a full-time Driver/Stores Assistant to join our dynamic and proactive team.

Key Responsibilities:

Driving & Logistics:

  • Ensure all deliveries and collections are executed efficiently and safely.
  • Maintain a valid B & C1 licence and adhere to all road regulations.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, ensuring vehicle roadworthiness.
  • Secure loads properly with ties and straps to comply with safety regulations.
  • Carry a full breakdown kit and follow emergency procedures when necessary.
  • Plan routes and delivery schedules to optimize time and fuel efficiency.

Site & Workplace Safety:

  • Comply with site-specific safety requirements, including speed limits and PPE guidelines.
  • Confirm delivery slots and communicate with site contacts in advance.
  • Follow all company and legal health and safety policies.

Vehicle & Equipment Maintenance:

  • Conduct routine checks on tyres, oil, water levels, and vehicle cleanliness.
  • Report any damage or maintenance issues immediately.
  • Keep the vehicle refueled and prepared for daily operations.
  • Maintain vehicle logbooks to track usage and compliance.

Stores & Inventory Management:

  • Receive, check, and sign for deliveries, ensuring stock accuracy.
  • Maintain organized storage and manage stock levels effectively.
  • Assist in loading and unloading deliveries and reporting discrepancies.
  • Ensure documentation, including delivery dockets, is recorded and filed correctly

Experience & Skills Required:

  • Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or stores environment preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence (essential).
  • Strong numerical and computer literacy skills.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Full, clean B and C1 driving licence required.
