Job Summary: 

The Food & Beverage Supervisor will oversee operations across multiple outlets (which includes the following - Gracy's Pizzeria and Bistro, Cafe, Airstream, Westport House and any functions within the Estate) at Westport Estate, ensuring exceptional guest experiences with friendly service. The role requires strong leadership and customer service skills to manage the team effectively while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency. Key responsibilities include setting employee objectives, engaging with the team to ensure excellent service, and addressing guest feedback. The supervisor must also uphold company policies, demonstrate excellent communication skills, and create a welcoming, well-stocked environment. 

Principle Responsibilities  

  • Day to day Supervision of the food outlets to a high standard, in line with Restaurant Managers direction.  
  • Maintain appropriate financial information systems as required by Restaurant Manager.  
  • Ensure that the correct daily cash procedures are followed including Petty Cash, Lodgments, Safe Checks, Till Checks, Comps & Voids  
  • Ensure all service & financial KPI's are met.  
  • Support the inhouse team in both FOH & BOH to ensure world class service is achieved.  
  • Work with the Restaurant Manager & Head of Culinary to promote an inclusive and friendly workplace.   
  • Work with & support the Food & Beverage Manager in regard to budgeted KPI's, Team Training & Development, Customer Satisfaction.  
  • Adherence of all company procedures in all the food outlets as outlined.   
  • Ensure training for responsible service of alcohol is maintained and that all relevant requirements are fulfilled in relation to licensing laws.  
  • Direct responsibility for full quality and safety compliance, including ensuring adherence to the Food Hygiene and EH&S legislation in all food outlets.  
  • Build and maintain excellent working relationships with all department heads as well as key Directors.   
  • Monitor and evaluate performance and productivity, communicating weekly the facilities needs of the business.  
  • Primarily responsible for food & beverage standards and quality and overall operational excellence in all food outlets.  
  • Ensure service levels are of the highest standard and consistent in all food outlets.  
  • Maintain regular presence and visibility in food outlet, owning the environment and attitude of the team.  
  • Identify opportunities in the and investigate potential growth targets with the Food & Beverage Manager.  
  • Awareness of and adaptable to the Seasonal realities of the business.

Required Experience & Skills   

  • Minimum 1 year experience as Supervisor/Team Lead in a Restaurant o similar, preferably with a strong background in high volume hospitality/conference and banqueting/food service operation. 
  • Experience of Cash handling and POS systems.  
  • Basic knowledge of Food Hygiene including HACCP.  
  • A passion for fresh food and service.  
  • The ability to manage in a diverse environment with a focus on client and customer service.  
  • Ability to lead, motivate and develop a team.  
  • Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills.  
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills.  
  • Ability to successfully implement positive changes.  
  • Hands on in the team mentality. 
  • Eligibility to work in Ireland. 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Barista Experience and ability to train such skills 
  • Any additional H&S training, First Aid Training & HACCP.
