Job Summary:

As an Afternoon Tea Server, you will be responsible for delivering an exceptional guest experience by providing friendly, professional, and attentive service. You will serve a variety of teas, sandwiches, scones, pastries, and other treats, ensuring guests' needs are met promptly and courteously.


Principle Responsibilities


  • Food Preparation: Prepare afternoon tea menu with assistance of team.
  • Serve Afternoon Tea: Greet guests, take tea orders, serve hot tea, and replenish as needed. Present a selection of freshly made sandwiches, scones, pastries, and cakes, ensuring proper arrangement and presentation.
  • Guest Interaction: Engage with guests to ensure their needs are met. Answer questions about tea selections, menu items, and dietary restrictions.
  • Maintain Cleanliness: Ensure all tea service areas are clean and organized. Clear plates and cups as needed and maintain a tidy environment.
  • Setup & Teardown: Set up tea stations and arrange tea tables with appropriate utensils, china, linens, and decorations. Clean and reset tables after tea service.
  • Provide Information: Explain the menu items, including the teas and accompaniments, ensuring guests understand what is being served.
  • Deliver High-Quality Service: Provide attentive service, ensuring guests feel comfortable, valued, and have everything they need to enjoy their tea service.


Required Experience & Skills 

 

  • Customer Service: Strong communication skills with an emphasis on providing excellent customer service.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to pay attention to details, such as proper presentation of tea and food items.
  • Knowledge of Tea: Familiarity with different types of tea and how to prepare them.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods and carry trays with multiple items.
  • Team Player: Ability to work well with other staff members in a fast-paced environment.
  • Previous Experience: Experience in food and beverage service is a plus but not mandatory.
